The resulting building represents an extension and reconfiguration of an old building, in an eclectic style, being a class B hisotric monument. Starting from the two facades of the old building and the calcan, we created a U-type circulation, around a central atrium, on all upper floors.

The initial building was of the P+1 type. We expanded the building with 3 more floors (2 interior floors and 1 terrace on the last level). The northern facade and the extension of the western and southern facades on floors 2-4 are made so that they are complementary to the preserved old facade and enhance it. It consists of a green facade - glass curtain wall and wooden grid, with climbing plants. This green facade has the role of filtering the light entering the interior of the building and providing a relationship with nature in a strong urban environment.

Having Japanese architecture as inspiration, I chose an own module to be the basis of the entire spatial configuration of the building. This module is the ratio of the windows of the old facade: 1:2. This module is to be used both in the planimetry and in the proportions of the furniture and interior design.
